Kanye West appeared to have taken his foot off the gas with the 350 V2 of late, releasing only a handful of iterations to focus on some of the less abundant silhouettes in the Yeezy collections. But hot on the heels of some excellent releases of 700 and 380 families comes another addition to the 350 V2 collection with the “Bone” colourway, and this is one for the OG sneakerheads out there.
That’s because the style, which bears a striking resemblance to some of Ye’s earlier colourways, takes us on a little trip down memory lane ensuring this latest Yeezy release is guaranteed to appeal to those who fell in love with the brand in the early days.
The shoe reverts back to the original Primeknit upper construction, forgoing the lateral side stripe that’s become a signature of the silhouette since its arrival on the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 “Beluga” back in 2016. Opting for a clean white look that’s combined with tan accents to the lacing system and sockliner, Ye keeps it simple with neutral hues which gives the shoe an understated aesthetic. The only standout feature on the uppers is a black line that runs directly along the centre of the shoe.
Down below is a slightly different story. As ever, this 350 V2 features a full bed of adidas’ patented Boost technology, and on this occasion it’s encased in a semi translucent, turquoise blue midsole that guarantees the uber-comfortable fit we’ve come to expect from this much-loved silhouette. The ribbed midsole’s eye-catching colour contrasts well with the shoe’s unassuming uppers to put the finishing touches on a colourway that commands just enough attention without being too out there.
At this point, that’s pretty much all we know about the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 “Bone”. As of yet the release date is unknown, although rumour has it we should expect it to arrive in early spring. The price is also unknown and with Ye stating on the Joe Rogan podcast recently that he intends to charge less for his footwear in future, you sneakerheads might just bag yourselves a bargain!
