March Madness – the NCAA Division’s basketball tournament – is nearly here. And just in time, Nike are ready to drop another new Air Jordan 3 look that again celebrates the big man’s days at the University of North Carolina with a clean white and blue colourway.

UNC gets plenty of great advertising from Nike and the Air Jordan colourways that constantly honour their light and minimalist colour scheme. This new look is said to be representative of an exclusive pair of Air Jordan 3 Nike trainers that were gifted to the athletes and staff of the collegiate programme. Alright for some. Let’s take a look at them.

The UNC look is dominantly white. With both the leather upper and midsole keeping as neutral an aesthetic as a middle-aged women’s new build. On top of this white base Nike have built up layers of Valour Blue and Tech grey. The colour tones are kept to an absolute minimum; blue eyelets for the laces, a small segment of the midsole surrounding the heel and the Jumpman branding on the tongue which replaces the “UNC” branding on the player special edition.

The cracked earth print, or the elephant skin print, whichever is your forte, returns. This time covering a small segment of the toe box and the heel overlays. The outsole is also colour matched to the Elephant print.

It’s a clean look just in time for spring as the brighter colourways start to come into their element. You’ll be able to get your hands on these new Air Jordan 3 UNC designs from March 7th. They drop on Nike.com or you can use the SNKRS app and they are landing with a price tag of $190 (£164.95).

We expect these to sell out sharpish. Everyone’s after clean colourways to add to the rotation now summer is on its way. If you miss out on March 7, check out Laced’s online trainer’s link for the best prices on the resale market.
