You don’t see many low cut basketball shoes on the market, even fewer on the court – not unless you want to retain your ankles. Functionality aside, lows look incredible on the sneaker scene and Air Jordan’s latest iteration, the “Heritage”.

The Air Jordan 34 may be one of the lesser known AJs, but the 34 is really starting to build a repertoire of its own thanks to recent releases. And this new dark colourway goes a long way in making a name for the 34, especially on the back the clean, white colourway with green features of the “Crispy”.

The “Heritage” colourway develops a black, metallic silver and red orbit colour scheme. The breathable black mesh upper has suede around the toebox and ankle with premium leather on the forefoot. Red Orbit is used on the accents throughout the upper, including the eyelets, tongue tag branding and just under the mesh upper. Branding is decked out in silver as well as the white mid and outsole for an overall design that is destined to be a summer hit.

The whole “Heritage” colour scheme is toned down slightly from some other 34 looks in an attempt to better reflect the heritage of the Jordan line. Reds and blacks are always some of the most iconic AJ looks so it makes perfect sense they make an appearance here. The design doesn’t lean too heavily on older looks, however, instead opting for a fresh aesthetic for a 2020 shoe that will hopefully one day become a classic.
