It’s set to be a busy few months for Kanye and his crew as they gear up for a frantic Christmas period that’ll see them drop a plethora of brand-new colourways across many of the Yeezy collections.
With almost every week comes a new Yeezy release of some sort these days, but that hasn’t stopped them giving us a sneak peak of what’s to come early next year, as it’s been revealed fans of the Yeezy Boost 380 will be treated to another colourway to add to their burgeoning collection. The name of this new arrival is the “Yecoraite” and it’s not too dissimilar to the recently-released “Calcite Glow”, albeit without the glow-in-the-dark shock-factor seen on that earlier colourway.
Featuring a grey and cream-coloured Primeknit upper with the stitched-in almost-camo effect we’ve seen on past 380 styles, the shoe has a clean look which is helped by the brand-new infinite lacing system which also comes in white. The trademark perforated patch on the trainer’s lateral and medial is a sandy-colour this time around, which is perhaps where the shoe gets its name as “Yecoraite” refers to the reddish-brown resinous coatings often found on the quartz crystal.
Down below is a familiar tale, with a chunky midsole encasing a full bed of Adidas’ Boost technology mated to a rose-coloured tread for the uber-comfortable fit we’ve come to expect from this silhouette.
Ye has been paying a lot of attention to his 380 collection lately, adding a myriad of colourways in quite a short space of time, and while some haven’t gone down too well – in particular the “Blue Oat” which was poorly received – others such as the “LMNTE” and the previously mentioned “Calcite Glow” have proven pretty popular. Exactly how hot this one proves to be is currently anyone’s guess, but with an aesthetic that more closely resembles the better received of the recent releases, our guess is this one will end up being a hit as well.
