Autumn Kicks

The leaves are falling off the trees, it’s getting dark earlier, rain is falling. Summer is all but a distant memory right about now. Autumn is here, and when it comes to Autumn trainers, the rules are very different. So we are here to bring you our top 5 kicks you need for Autumn 2019.

Sacai x Nike LDV Waffle ‘Green Gusto’

It’s certainly not the most recent colourway released as part of the collaboration between Japanese brand Sacai and Nike, but it is in my view the most appropriate for this list. The ‘Green Gusto’ colourway combines overlayed green, red and yellow elements to establish an aesthetic that will pose a subtle nod to the green of Summer, and welcome in the red and yellow leaves of Autumn. While also being regarded as quite possibly the front runner for the shoe of the year 2019. So repping this silhouette in any situation is a pretty hard thing to disagree with.

Nike React Element 87 ‘Orange Peel’

From talking about this year’s shoe of the year candidate to 2018’s winner. The Nike React Element 87 has established itself at the top of the trainer world and is one of Nike’s flagship products. So when in April of 2019 they dropped the ‘Orange Peel’ colourway, the green, orange and yellow Autumnal tones immediately made me think of this time of year. Still featuring the now-iconic semi-translucent upper. The debate should never be if you are going to pick up a pair, but instead, what socks to wear.

Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low ‘Mocha’

Travis Scott has really propelled himself into the trainer meta since signing with Air Jordan. Truth be told, he has already numerous shoes on the market that could of quite easily of made this list, but I am going slightly more unorthodox then perhaps you would have first expected. The Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low ‘Mocha’ does almost everything the popular High top iteration does. Only reversing the colouring of the swoosh and the white panels on the upper. Nike SB Dunks and Low silhouettes are coming back into fashion and this Air Jordan 1 Low really does bring Autumn to life.

Nike Air Max 270 React ‘Mid-Century’

We were lucky enough to get a brand new silhouette in 2019. The Nike Air Max 270 React combined the Air Unit from the Air Max 270 with the pressure-mapped elements and semi-translucent upper of the Nike React Element 87. A combination that I am immediately on board with, and the ‘Mid-Century’ presenting a muted cream palette with red and turquoise detailing is without a doubt our favourite when it comes to Autumn trainers.

Off-White x Blazer Mid ‘All Hallows Eve’

When it comes to Autumn trainers, you have to take into consideration Autumns most popular holiday, Halloween. I think you can see where I am going with this. The Off-White x Blazer Mid ‘All Hallows Eve’ in unquestionable the perfect kick for trick or treaters, costume parties or even just feeling yourself in October. With Pumpkin tones painted across the shoes upper, and the undeniable lure of the Off-White signature details, this model is a high profile and very much suitable option for the Autumn months.
