August is quickly shaping up to be Kanye West Month. The highly anticipated DONDA is scheduled to drop on the 6th of August. Adidas has also announced the first-ever Yeezy Day will be on the 2nd of August (the 3rd of August in the EU and Japan). Information around Yeezy Day is limited, although we expect many restocks of some of Ye’s most hyped releases from the last few years.  Although we are yet to have any potential releases confirmed, below are the rumours that we think are closest to what we will see release next week.

YEEZY DAY

Yeezy Boost 350 v2 “Zebra”

One of the hottest colourways to come out of the Yeezy 350 catalogue is the Zebra. The sneaker dropped back in 2017 and was an instant classic thanks to the zebra-like appearance of the shoe. The Zebra was re-released a few months later again but has not seen a release since. Being one of the most sought-after silhouettes from the Yeezy catalogue leads us to believe another drop could be right around the corner.

Yeezy Boost 350 V2 “Synth Reflective”, “Black Reflective” & “Cloud Reflective”

A particular detail that really captured the imaginations of Yeezy collectors was the inclusion of reflective detailing throughout the 350 V2s design. The reflective packs have been more difficult to grab, with a non-reflective version of each shoe more readily available. That said, if you caught L’s previously, we are expecting to see a release of the Synth, Cloud and Black Reflective on Yeezy Day. If previous releases are anything to go by, the Reflective pack Yeezys are some of the hardest to come by on the market. Be sure to grab a pair of the eye-catching 350s this time around.

Yeezy Boost 350 V2 “Tail Light”

A sneaker released initially as a regional exclusive in Europe and Russia, the Yeezy 350 Tail Light is rumoured for a Worldwide release on Yeezy Day.

The Tail Light features all the detailing with love about the 350. An armoured sole unit housing Ultra Boost technology features. Ye also brings back the heel tab that featured on older versions of the silhouette. Grey primeknit uppers paired with a clear stripe featuring across the sneaker’s lateral side. This completes the look of this hybrid take on the 350 V2.

YEEZY DAY

Yeezy Boost 700 MNVN “Orange” & “Triple Black”

The Adidas x Yeezy 700 MNVN has quickly become one of Kanye West’s best silhouettes to release under the collaboration. A spin on the classic Yeezy 700 sneaker that was released back in 2017. As the name suggests, the sneaker draws inspiration from Minivans. Whilst updating the classic Yeezy 700 silhouette with a streamlined upper. The chunky sole unit remains intact.

The triple black and orange colourways were two of the OG releases from the minivan series. Both pairs became fan favourites upon release. Neither shoe has seen a re-release since February 2020, so we expect Yeezy collectors to be ecstatic if the MNVN does see a restock.

Yeezy Boost 700 “Wave Runner”

A sneaker that needs little introduction, the Wave Runner, is one of the most iconic silhouettes that ‘Ye and Adidas have released since the collaboration’s inception.

The sneaker was initially released back in November 2017 and in March 2018 but has not seen a release since. The Wave Runner highlighted Kanye West’s change in design. The aesthetics utterly different to any previous sneaker he had released. The shoe’s colourway perfectly compliments the mix of materials used. The chunky sole unit makes the Yeezy 700 one of the most comfortable shoes around.

Although unconfirmed, we are optimistic that we finally see a re-release of the Wave Runner.
