After taking a few months off, the Yeezy Boost 350 v2 has bounced back in a big way lately, with an abundance of fresh new looks arriving on a near weekly basis once more.
Last year, it became clear the market was becoming a little over-saturated, with 350 v2 colourways – some of them a tad underwhelming – arriving at a relentless pace. This is why we’re wondering if this sudden influx of releases will ultimately turn out to be a bad thing, but if like us you’re a die-hard lover of the iconic silhouette, then perhaps you can never have too much of a good thing.
The latest iteration is the Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 v2 “Mono Mist”. Arriving alongside the “Mono Ice”, Mono Light” and “Mono Clay” as one quarter of a four-part pack, the “Mono Mist” is the most understated of the bunch and it marks a return to the earthy tones which helped to make the silhouette arguably the most popular sneaker on the planet, for a few years at least.
With a semi-translucent sheath upper that arrives in a grey/purplish finish, along with signature side stripes and classic pull-tabs on the heel, the forthcoming style blends new and old magnificently to produce a look that’s reminiscent of the styles of yesteryear while possessing just enough new features to warrant a release of its own.
Down below it’s a familiar tale, with the usual chunky midsole housing a full bed of Adidas’ Boost technology, with a matching treading completing the look and ensuring the upcoming Mono pack is full of exciting additions to the ever-expanding 350 v2 family.
