With a slimmed down release schedule and the rumour mill grinding to a halt, things have gone a little quiet on the Yeezy front as of late.

To be fair, it’s unsurprising given the fact the shoes haven’t been commanding quite as much of a buzz recently. After flooding the market with updates on a near weekly basis, and dropping a number of lacklustre, uninspiring releases, it was clear Ye and his team needed to take a step back and regroup.

Now, as we approach the third week in February, if rumours are to be believed the Adidas imprint is planning on reigniting things in a big way, with the Yeezy Boost 350 V3 finally making its long-awaited arrival in March.

This isn’t the first time we’ve heard rumours of a successor to the 350 V2. Previously, another follow-up had been speculated, however in the end that plan was ripped up and it was renamed the 380 instead – probably a wise move given the fact the design specs on the two styles differ completely.

The original Yeezy Boost 350 arrived back in the summer of 2015, but it was soon replaced by the upgraded version, the V2 which landed a year later. This iconic silhouette would catapult Yeezy into the stratosphere, cementing Kanye’s project as the world’s most dominant sneaker brand, with the most popular colourways fetching thousands on the resale market.

Literally hundreds of colourways later and with the silhouette finally losing a bit of steam, people are no longer pulling all-nighters to cop the latest releases and it looks like Kanye is finally set to move things forward with the newer model in the works at long last.

Insiders Yeezy Mafia have been reporting for the best part of a year that the V3 was expected, although it seems the release has been put back a number of times, perhaps due to the trials and tribulations caused by COVID-19.

At the minute there’s no official word on the release date, but March has been tentatively slated. Stay tuned for more information as we’ll be sure to keep you in the know as soon as anything concrete is announced.
