Last year was a great year for collaborations over at Jordan Brand, with the Nike offshoot joining forces with a range of designers and organisations to co-create some incredible new footwear.

One of the more successful co-productions was the latest collab with Paris Saint Germain on the Air Jordan 4, and the two have joined forces once again – this time teaming up to produce a new iteration of the iconic AJ1 silhouette. Although last year’s AJ4 was a roaring success, this one might just be the duo’s best work to date.

Just like last time out, this update to the Air Jordan 1 silhouette uses a black, white and purple colour scheme, only with this one the palette’s used to more striking effect. With an off-white base and black overlays – the former made from leather while the latter comes dressed in suede – the Air Jordan 1 High Zoom CMFT stays true to many of the AJ1 colourways we know and love.

It’s on the tongue and ankle collars where this one truly comes to life, with psychedelic gradient pinks and purples ensuring they command maximum attention every step of the way. The heel features a hybrid of the iconic Jumpman logo and the PSG crest, while the Air Jordan branding on the collar comes in the aforementioned attention-grabbing pink and purple hues.

This isn’t the first time the French football club have worked on the infamous Jumpman silhouette. Back in 2018, the two produced an all-black colourway with a white midsole and red stripes, inspired by the team’s kit at the time.

While the one released three years ago will have no doubt pleased sneakerheads who follow the Parisian side, this new iteration blows all the previous collaborations out of the water and for our money, it’s set to be the most popular one yet. A great way to start the year for these two behemoths of the sporting world.

Although an official release date is yet to be announced, reports suggest the Air Jordan 1 High Zoom CMFT will arrive on January 29.
