Nike’s 2.0 line of Air Jordan 1s has seen revamps of the famous “Varsity Red” and “”Court Purple” colourways so far in 2020, now it is time for the “Game Royal” aesthetic of blue, white and black.

The new look is part of Nike and MJ’s Spring collection and is a fresh faced design ready for the hotter seasons. The new design changed things up a bit from the2018 rendition; the signature blue remains but this time the look uses plenty more neutral colouring to break the shoe up into separate sections. Blue is used more sparingly this time around, offering splashes of colour rather than being the main focus

The all leather construction is a classic Nike Air Jordan 1 design. For the aesthetic, a near all black upper features a white panel on the outside of the foot as well as white branding on the Jumpman logo and Nike tongue tab. A white midsole also features with blue outsole running across the entire bottom of the shoe.

Blue is used sparingly, featuring on the toe, outsole and around the ankle’s collar.

The look isn’t quite all-leather. The tongue switches it up slightly with a nylon material that sits nicely under the black laces.

As part of Nike’s plans for Spring the new Air Jordan 1 High OG “Game Royal” will be dropping on May 9 with a retail price of $170 (£136.92) and will be available from Nike.com as well as their dedicated Nike SNKRS app. The drop will also see some releases across certain retailers depending on lockdown restrictions in place in whichever town you live in. Make sure you check ahead before venturing out to try and cop a pair on release date as some retailers will definitely still be closed come May 9th.

After release day head over to Laced’s online trainers platform for buy and sell options on these and many more Nike AJ1 looks.
