We’re seeing plenty of dark colourways at a time of the year when bright summer looks tend to reign supreme. But we aren’t complaining, some have been outstanding.

One of Nike’s supporting silhouettes – the Air Max 95 – may not stand out as much as some of Nike’s other designs, but it definitely has its place amongst the fashion elite. When it comes to street style, the Nike Air Max 95 is almost ubiquitous. The layered upper lends itself to multi coloured designs like a fish lends itself to water. With no less tan five layers to work with along the upper, designers no longer have to demote any of their favourite colourings to the factory floor.

The new Midnight Navy and Volt colourway is testament to this colour building that the design lends itself to so well. Starting at the bottom, we have the dark navy of which the name derides, working our way up the shoe, the navy is followed by a black leather strip, then a metallic grey and finally a light grey mesh which holds the black tubular lacing with navy lace tabs.

Although it opts for different colouring across every layer of its upper, the new Midnight Navy and Volt colourway sticks with neutral hues that blend well together. On top of a collection of great colour choices, the look also makes use of great material choices; premium leather and mesh offset each other nicely and help each other standout.

The midsole is where the volt comes into play. The sole is completely navy except the iconic air bubble tech that is given the green volt shade. The same vibrant green can be fond on sections of the outsole with the bubble tech visible from underneath too.

As with all Air Max 95 looks the Swoosh branding is kept to its minimalist styling on the heel of the shoe.

Release dates for the new look will be released in the coming months. Keep it Laced for updates and check out our online trainers platform for buy and sell options on other great Air Max 95 looks.
