The store is situated within one of Nike’s most popular Japanese locations – the famous Tokyo district of Harajuku, 1 Chome-13-12 Jingumae, Shibuya City, Tokyo 150-0001, Japan. Although the Nike Harajuku Store has, for the last few months been closed for renovation. The store has been recently reopened in all of its updated glory.

What have they updated?

Revamping its popular Nike Harajuku Store, following on from the reopening of the brand’s first retail space in California earlier this year. The store now boasts an expanded layout with a whole range of added services. Featuring the largest range of Nike Women’s products in the whole of Japan. Similar to that seen in the NikeTown London Store that champions inclusivity for women with mannequins of diverse sizes, while also debuting a brand new integrated Nike App experience which allows you to reserve products, unlock rewards, and check out instantly also being implemented.

Functionality isn’t the only update that has been made in the store. Aside from all the new tech, there’s plenty of stunning design and art on display. The most noteworthy of which being an enormous floating sculpture in the stairwell. Which is thanks to Tokyo-based artist Ms. Ran Tondabayashi. 

It isn’t all about online trainers these days. People still love to be able to search stores to find new kicks and The Harajuku Store is without a doubt one of the premier Nike locations in the world since its revamp. Making it most definitely a must visit sneaker spot for enthusiasts. Both aesthetically and with its progressive and cutting edge attention to detail this store is one Nike is very proud of. Showcasing all the latest technology to improve the retail experience as well as championing equality and inclusivity for all genders and sizes. Asia is a massive market for sneakerheads and particularly in a city like Tokyo, Nike have clearly highlighted this store as one they wanted to make market leading.
