J. Crew made this trainer a huge hit amongst sneaker fans; the tennis shoe, built up of a unique mix of materials and sporting plenty of iconic Nike branding, including the iconic swoosh along the outside of the shoe, made for a super clean look that fitted with a number of styles.

As part of Nike’s special projects line, the Killshot now has three new colourways; blue, red and green. All of which are built upon a cream and white vintage base. To bring things up to date, Nike have added modern trainer tech to elevate the classic look into a brand new sleek runner that will be a hit amongst plenty of aesthetics.

J Crew were the ones to bring this style of shoe into the limelight and unfortunately have filed for bankruptcy earlier this month. To honour the popular menswear, Nike is launching the OG constructions in three iconic colourways that create a real throwback to some legendary pieces of footwear.

The shoe is made up of a breathable mesh underlay, which takes place of the usual leather base. Suede toe cap and heel wraps have a slightly darker grey edging and are placed over strategic stress points to ensure the shoes are more durable than ever. The tongue has a classic 70’s yellow foam look and the lacing has a slight yellow tint to represent the vintage sepia-brown colouring.

The Nike branding comes in three colour options: “Gorge Green”, “Sail Navy” and “Sail Red”. Guess they ran out of aphorisms around the colour names.

The collection will be dropping in late May. Some time around the 22nd and will be released at a very affordable $80 (£74.95).
