Virgil Abloh’s new collaboration with Nike may result in one of the most sought-after releases of 2020. Now that we’ve had official images drop to get a good look at he new Air Jordan 4 design coming out of the Off-White design room, it’s safe to say that this new, almost entirely cream colourway, is going to send sneaker fans wild.

It was at the Figures of Speech exhibition at MCA Chicago in 2019 when we had the first look at this new colourway. Then at the American fashion designers Fall Winter 2020 runway showcase we got to see it again.

This AJ4 has a nearly complete cream palette, setting it apart from all other AJs right now as one of the cleanest colourways and one that really commits to a usually subtly utilised colouring.

Because it uses a single colour scheme across the entire shoe it is important to find detail elsewhere, to achieve this Nike have used a collection of materials including fine leather across the upper, stitched together with a sartorial finish. Dashes of suede re found across the toebox add to the premium aesthetic of the shoe. Mesh panels return across lateral and medial sides. The shoe also contains a few rubber features on the lace eyelets and heel tab which also includes the swoosh branding.

For the tech side we have the Air infused midsole for extreme comfort on the street as well as the court – not that many of these pairs will find their way onto the court. Finishing off the look is the iconic zip tag that sets Abloh’s looks apart; this too is given a complete cream colour match to the rest of the shoe.

The Off White x Air Jordan 4 WMNS “Sail” will be dropping on July 25 with a price tag of around £170.00. Check in with Laced’s online trainers platform after release date for resale options.
