How did the Off-White x Nike SB Dunk Low get unveiled?

Ahead of Off-White’s Paris Fashion Week SS20 Show, Virgil Abloh took to Instagram to tease his new Off-White x Nike SB Dunk Low. Two colourways were then unveiled on the runway. Following the show Abloh treated us to a more in depth look at both. The shoes in question are a collaborative project with Futura Laboratories. Which uses the Nike SB Dunk Low as a base. Allowing designer Virgil Abloh to once again team up with Nike to adapt one of their famous silhouettes.

What does Virgil Abloh’s Nike SB Dunk Low look like?

Appearing in two colourways, either a bold orange with dark blue detailing, or a ‘UNC’ style light blue and white. Each model includes the now famous Off-White zip-tie which this time features in white. While both designs also come dressed with all the signature Off-White x Nike branding present on all their previous collaborative designs. As well as the usual “SHOELACES” printed laces, overlaid with hiking-style laces. Both colourays finish there look with Abloh and Futura’s signatures on the underside, which is visible through the semi-translucent sole unit.

When is Virgil Abloh likely to release his new designs?

Abloh has made a habit of using his Paris Fashion Week Show to tease future releases. Past showcases have included his now world famous Air Jordan 1 collaboration. While 2018’s show was dominated by his ‘Track + Field’ designs which are only now being launched officially with the Off-White x Nike Zoom Terra Kiger 5 dropping June 24th. So if this is anything to go by we probably won’t be seeing his version of the Nike SB Dunk Low until 2020, but no official information has been published about the release.
