Men’s Spring/Summer 2020

Paris Fashion Week is a hot bed for a lot of things. One of those being all the latest in footwear designs and collaborations. You might think Paris Fashion Week is only good for high fashion. What you might not be aware of is that it also debuts quite a few street wear designs which could very well be made available to consumers in the near future. At previous years’ shows we have seen a number of concepts and designs debuted which have gone on to gain commercial success on release. So, what we are about to do is run down some of the SS20 Show’s most interesting Paris Fashion Week trainers which could make the transition to the shop shelves some day soon.

COMME des GARÇONS x Nike

Nike and COMME des GARÇONS have a long tradition of collaboration. Having previously worked on a number of silhouettes. Including fresh takes on the Air Force 1, Nike Shox TL & Air Vapormax. For the SS20 show, the pair unveiled an adaptation of the classic, Air Max 95. A trio in fact. All of which featuring deconstructed side panels. Appearing to showcase similar design aesthetics to those present on the COMME des GARÇONS x Nike Shox TL released earlier this year. The trio of Air Max 95s are rumoured to be dropping some time next year.

White Mountaineering x adidas Originals

Collaborations with trainer brands of late have appeared to follow a similar trend. Adopting the less conventional members of a brand like Adidas’ product line seems like the in thing. With this new White Mountaineering x adidas Originals collaboration being no different. Reworking the Adidas LXCON in two colourways. This trainer features co-branding on the midsole and TPU pipe along the upper with White Mountaineering also opting to swap out the lacing for a set of buckles across the forefoot.

Off-White x Futura Laboratories x Nike

Also among the plethora of great Paris Fashion Week trainer launches. We got to see the latest from designer Virgil Abloh. A three-way collaboration between his brand Off-White, Futura Laboratories and Nike. Abloh is yet again diving into the Nike archive with this one. This time using the Nike SB Dunk Low as a basis. Imparting all the signature Off-White motifs onto the design. The partnership will be bringing us two distinctive colourways. A UNC style blue and white, and an orange and black colourway.

sACAI X nIKE

Sacai and Nike are renewing their partnership which began earlier this year by bringing us another new colourway for the LDV Waffle which previously dropped in two colourways. This fresh kick which dropped alongside many other great Paris Fashion Week trainers, is definitely a stand out. Appearing in a black upper with white midsole this model is aesthetically very capable of turning a lot of heads in the industry.
