As one of the NFL’s most talented young players, Kansas City Chiefs’ Pat Mahomes has the world at his feet. Since bursting onto the scene in his rookie year back in 2017, the 25-year-old has gone on to establish himself as one of the game’s most revered quarterbacks, and his one-the-field heroics have been rewarded by Adidas, who have given Mahomes his very own Ultra Mid PE.
After recently being revealed as the headliner for the NFL’s “My Cause My Cleats” campaign, Mahomes is back in the limelight once again with his custom-made shoe, which is inspired by his alma mater Whitehouse High School. Draped in the school’s signature scarlet red with white lines stitched into the fabric, the shoe’s sock-like Primeknit uppers are brimming with high school pride throughout.
Down below the shoe benefits from a full bed of Adidas’ patented Boost technology, which is encased in a chunky midsole that’s mated to white treading. White is also found on the laces, lateral stripes and Adidas branding on the tongue. Mudguards and a robust heel support featuring the words “Ultra Boost” that come painted in black add another dimension to the style’s colour scheme, and putting the finishing touches on this custom-made colourway is Mahone’s name in varsity-style text along the heel tab.
The shoe is a great addition to the Adidas Ultra Mid PE collection, and it just goes to show what great work Mahone is putting in on the field when a guy who’s only been around a few short years has Adidas dedicating colourways to him so early in his career. Who knows what’s to come for this up-and-coming superstar in the making?!
