Runners are going to have plenty of choice this Christmas as the third instalment of the Run City Pack has been released featuring new colourways for the Ultraboost 19. For step three in the November/December collection, the runner has been designed by Tokyo based Japanese designers NEIGHBORHOOD.

So far, we’ve had two parts of the four-part saga of the Run City Pack; the first from Denmark’s Wood Wood and the second from British designer Universal Works.

Whilst the first two releases saw the German outfitters team up with apparel designers for the first time, for the third release they chose to work with a designer they have a good history with. NEIGHBORHOOD have worked alongside adidas for a while now and have helped create distinctive running styles that have become part of adidas’ everyday collections.

A large part of the aesthetic between adidas and NEIGHBORHOOD is that of a graphics-heavy styling over a complete black colourway. With the first two releases in this pack focusing on more naturally colourful schemes, it was only a matter of time before we saw a release opt more towards the dark side of the spectrum.

The NEIGHBORHOOD Ultraboost 19

NEIGHBORHOOD have helped produce a stealthy, night running colourway for the Ultraboost 19 by perfectly blending a black night camo base with reflective materials which we have to say feels very Tokyo.

NEIGHBORHOOD’s recognisable style has become a trademark in Japan and works well with adidas’ silhouettes. Describing the style, NEIGHBORHOOD’s designers said that they were heavily influenced, not just by running, but by parkour. And it is this element of overcoming obstacles that we get to see with the colourway.

The rugged “All Terrain” style features geometric patterns that reflect the harsh interspersed lines of a city like Tokyo. The bold reflective graphics; with ‘ultraboost NEIGHBORHOOD’ on the heel of the first design and ‘NEIGHBORHOOD’ repeated across the upper on the second silo, both giving unique aesthetics to the Primeknit.

The mesh of night camo and reflective prints is carried across the entire apparel collection that coincides with the new online trainers release.
