Fans of the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG are in for a real treat this summer with the release of one of the slickest colourways in years officially confirmed for July.
Dubbed the “Electro Orange”, the upcoming makeup borrows influence from a number of iconic colourways to create a stunning new iteration that has all the makings of a future classic.
Late last year rumours began to circulate that the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG would receive a shiny new update reminiscent of the beloved “Shattered Backboard” colourway from a couple of years earlier.
Leaked shots in December depicted the forthcoming style in a three-colour combo, and official imagery confirms the style will indeed arrive dressed in orange, black and white. The “yin-and-yang” colour blocking is present on the all-leather uppers that was first seen on the Jordan 1 “Black Toe”, which is combined with orange on both the ankle collars and outsole completing a memorable tri-colour look.
Traditional branding comes in the form of the old skool tongue tag and trademark Air Jordan wings to put the finishing touches on an update that feels both nostalgic and very current, which makes it all the more attractive to us here at Double Tapped.
The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Electro Orange” will arrive on July 17th and it’ll go on sale with select retailers only.
