2021 is set to be another gigantic year for the Air Jordan 1. After a slew of hot new releases last year, expect more of the same from Jordan Brand who intend on making this another massive year for the world’s most iconic sneaker.
While the men’s collection received a tonne of attention last year, the WMNS range left some of our female sneakerheads a little underwhelmed with considerably less updates to whet the appetite, however early signs suggest that’s about to change this year with a number of releases already slated for the coming months. Chief among them is the Air Jordan 1 Mid “Pink Shadow”, and early impressions suggest this one has all the makings of a future classic.
In a colourway reminiscent of the OG “Shadow” iteration, this new variant showcases the additional hot pink accents which give the sneaker a welcome new feel. Created using luxurious leather throughout, the pair benefits from a luscious combination of grey, black and pink panels. Black on the toe caps, overlays and tongue dovetails with the grey on the front portion, and pink on the heel and trademark Nike Swoosh create a look that pushes the iconic silhouette to brave new heights.
The signature branding seen on every update to the AJ1 is displayed via a pink Jumpman logo on the tongue and the Air Jordan logo in the same hue on the heel’s later side, while down below is also a familiar story with a white midsole encasing the shoe’s hidden Air system.
