What do we know about the Yeezy 700 v2 Hospital Blue?
September’s Yeezy release calendar is absolutely stacked, and I mean stacked. With no less than six new models touted to release in September. While a further five have been teased for a release sometime in the Autumn period.
We have already seen images of the September bound Yeezy 700 Magnet, Yeezy 700 v2 Inertia, Yeezy 350 v2 Cloud White & Citrin, and the Yeezy 700 Teal Blue. The latest design to be unveiled online completing the shortlist of half a dozen pairs is the Yeezy 700 v2 Hospital Blue. Which is reportedly set to drop September 28th. On adidas.com and select Adidas retailers for £250.
What does the Hospital Blue colourway look like?
The Hospital Blue colourway arrives on the v2 variant of the Yeezy Boost 700. Crafted from mesh and premium leather overlays on the shoes upper. Presented in mint grey tones not too dissimilar to the ones that dress the Yeezy Boost 700 Salt. While additional hits of grey land on the tonal debossed midsole. Accompanied by reflective 3M detailing on the Adidas three-stripe panel branding. Which has become almost standard for all new Yeezys. All resting atop a stark black outsole providing an evident contrast with the shoe’s upper. This of course is all underpinned by the use of Boost technology. Achieving industry topping comfort, something which has become a minimum expectation with each and every drop.
Comparisons with other models
The Yeezy 700 v2 Hospital Blue has already received some criticism for its similarities to other models. Most notably with another bluish colourway, the Inertia, releasing on the same silhouette in the same month. The conversation about Yeezys looking increasingly similar is something that will continue to be discussed, but won’t stop people from buying into every release. Many more positively speculate that they are made similar to deter some fans from buying them to open up the opportunity for others. How much of this is true is unclear but Kanye West has definitely stood by stranger concepts than that in the past.
