The Inertia comes back for the Yeezy 700 v2

The Inertia colourway is pretty universally considered one of the hottest colour palettes seen on any Yeezy to date. Arriving on the OG Yeezy Boost 700 as part of Yeezy Season 8 in March 2019 the model quickly established itself as one of the the range’s most successful pieces. Following this break out success Kanye West has decided to bring it back. This time applying the same palette to a brand new Yeezy 700 v2 Inertia.

Although no official images for the new shoe have been released. Perennial insiders Yeezy Mafia have been good enough to give fans a mock up of exactly what to expect with the teasing caption “COMING SOON”, but if reports are anything to go on, we are likely to see this model drop some time in September, retailing at £250.

Yeezy 700 v2 Inertia

What does this new model look like?

It is well and good saying that the Inertia colourway is returning on the Yeezy 700 v2 silhouette, but what does that mean aesthetically? Well in comparison to the OG model for which the palette is famous the v2 variation is considerably chunkier. Deploying a leather and mesh constructed upper, this shoe naturally brings the same panelling system as previous v2 models. Mirroring the colours exactly to the OG, the bluish purple hues never have looked better. Of course the look couldn’t be complete without the trademark orange flecks that exist on the midsole. Along with the cream coloured outsole which again only add to the shoes unmistakable vibe.

To be expected the comfort levels are maintained via the BOOST midsole technology. With this model only adding to what has already been an incredibly successful year of Kanye West and his Yeezy portfolio. From what we know, it looks like there are no plans for them to slow down production with much more around the corner for all three of Wests most popular silhouettes, the 350, 500 and 700.
