Those with even half an eye on the Yeezy release schedule may have noticed Kanye and his team have been paying a great deal of attention to the 380 as of late. Whereas in the past the 350 v2 was undoubtedly the star of the show, these days there appears to be some competition with most of the recent Yeezy releases taking the form of the 380.
As we begin a new year, that trend is showing no sign of coming to an end anytime soon, as next up on the Yeezy release calendar is the 380 Boost “Yecoraite” which is another stellar addition to this rapidly expanding collection.
The shoe follows the usual tried and tested formula we’ve come to expect from the Yeezy releases, with an off-white Primeknit upper that’s decorated with reflective flecks throughout. As with all the 380 colourways, this iteration comes with a side stripe – this time in orange – and both the lateral and medial are punctured with the silhouette’s trademark perforations.
The shoe benefits from the 380’s usual chunky midsole that comes with a full bed of the patented Adidas Boost technology, guaranteeing an uber-comfortable fit wherever you go. Underfoot is an orange-infused semi-translucent treading that not only looks the part and compliments the side stripe but offers excellent grip – great for ensuring you don’t go head over heels in these icy conditions!
Despite a distinct lack of action on the Yeezy 350 v2 front, fans of the silhouette needn’t despair. That’s because the “Ash Blue” iteration is set to arrive next month, meaning you won’t have to wait too long to get your fix. For now though, you’ll have to make do with another addition to the 380 collection, as well a coupe of Yeezy Boost 700s that are set to drop later in the month.
