Yeezy colourways, what do they mean?
2019 has already seen a whole host of new additions to the Yeezy portfolio. In June alone we saw a combined seven new colourways for both the 350 and the 700 silhouette. Kanye West is making no indication that he is slowing his production down with a whole host of other potential releases also being teased for the rest of 2019. Since 2015, not only has the volume of product being released intensified, the names of the product have become more and more obscure. Long gone are the “Pirate Black”, “Copper” and “Green” variations. What we want to do is to have all the new Yeezy names explained. So hopefully, the colourways can make a little more sense to you.
Yeezy Names Explained – Yeezy Boost 700
Inertia (in-er-sha)
Noun. A tendency to do nothing or remain unchanged

Mauve (mow-v)
Adjective. Of a pale purple colour.

Tephra (teff-ra)
Noun. Rock fragments and particles ejected by a volcanic eruption.
Vanta (vanh-tah)
Noun. Vanta(black) is a material developed by Surrey NanoSystems in the United Kingdom and is one of the darkest substances known, absorbing up to 99.96% of visible light (at 663 nm if the light is perpendicular to the material).
Geode (jee-ode)
Noun. A small cavity in rock lined with crystals or other mineral matter.

Antlia (ant-lee-ah)
Noun. A constellation in the Southern Celestial Hemisphere. Its name means “pump” in Latin; it represents an air pump.
Synth (sin-th)
Noun. Short for synthesizer, an electronic musical instrument (typically operated by a keyboard) that produces a wide variety of sounds by generating and combining signals of different frequencies.
Lundmark (lund-marck)
Noun. Is an eroded crater on the far side of the Moon. It lies to the southwest of the Mare Ingenii, one of the rare mare areas on the far side. Nearly attached to the southwestern outer rim of Lundmark is the crater Koch, and located to the northwest is the flooded Jules Verne.
Hyperspace (hi-per-spay-s)
Noun. Space of more than three dimensions.
Beluga (beh-loo-gah)
Noun. A small white toothed whale related to the narwhal, living in herds mainly in Arctic coastal waters.

Noun. A glassy yellow variety of quartz.
Adjective. Resembling a citron or lemon especially in color
Magnet (mag-nuht)
Noun. A piece of iron or other material which has its component atoms so ordered that the material exhibits properties of magnetism. Such as attracting other iron-containing objects or aligning itself in an external magnetic field.
