Yeezy Scuba

I have said it before, and I will say it again, in the trainer world one of the best ways of working out what it has in store for us in the near future, is by looking closely at the feet of its most prominent designers. First spotted donned by the cast of Kanye West’s Sunday Service at Coachella, this prototype sock-like Yeezy has since been pictured in several forms across the internet, most notably in cowboy rapper Lil Nas X’s Instagram on the feet of Ye himself.

This unorthodox sample looks like Kanye West’s take on the famous Balenciaga sock-fit trainer. On closer inspection, this unique high-cut footwear option reveals that it is constructed of flexible neoprene material with the exposed stitching of the design reinforced by heat taping. An examination of the interior reveals that the shoe has been in the sample stages under the name “Coachella Scuba.” Moving lower, we get a better idea of the thin sole that appears on this laceless Yeezy model. To compensate for the slim profile, the sole unit has been ridged to provide shock absorption for the close-to-ground ride.

Yeezy BSKTBL Quantum

It appears that Kanye West isn’t the only member of his family that has been dropping footwear related teases. Recently Kim Kardashian has been spotted wearing what it believed to be one of Ye’s upcoming BSKTBL trainers, unofficially labelled as ‘Quantum’. Paired with a pair of Sunday Service sweatpants, we can see that the upcoming Yeezy basketball shoe features a chunky look that sits wider than previous sneaker releases. The “Quantum” colorway features a Zebra like upper accented by a black tongue and reflective elements at the midfoot and heel. Elevating the shoe is a BOOST-encapsulated translucent sole that tapers off near the toe region.
